Learn fashion design from an FIDM fashion design graduate!  The course will begin with basic sewing skills and progress into garment construction, pattern drafting and grading, and fashion sketching.  We will have access to different types of sewing machines, textiles and techniques so that the students are able to create their own garments, alter or upcycle items, or even develop a collection!   

 

Our Instructor:

Katie Likins grew up on stage and majored in Fashion Design at FIDM.  She has created lead and ensemble costumes for numerous repertory productions, as well as ballet productions, and solo costumes for dance competitions like the prestigious YAGP.
